How to schedule posts on a Facebook Page
Scheduling Facebook posts keeps a Page active even during busy weeks. Here are your options, from the simplest to the most automated.
First: a Page, not a profile
Scheduling works on Facebook Pages, not personal profiles. If your business still uses a profile, create a Page: it’s free, and it’s also what unlocks insights and publishing tools.
With Meta Business Suite (free)
- Open Meta Business Suite and select your Page
- Create a post, add the text and the image
- Instead of “Publish”, choose to schedule and set the date and time
- Find scheduled posts in the planner to edit them
With Relay (AI)
Just write what you want to announce and when: “announce our new menu Friday at 11 am on Facebook and Instagram”. Relay writes a version for each network, prepares the visual and shows you everything before scheduling. The post then goes out on time, even with your computer off.
Common mistakes
- Scheduling on a personal profile instead of the Page
- Forgetting the time zone when managing a Page from another country
- Scheduling a whole month, then never answering comments
Frequently asked questions
Can I schedule posts in a Facebook group?
Outside tools can’t post in groups: Facebook doesn’t allow apps to. Scheduling is for Pages.
